Tyler Andersen The Founder of AOA

Tyler Andersen is the founder, designer, model, and manufacturer behind Archives Of Andersen (AOA). Born in 2006, he has since dedicated himself to a lifelong pursuit of craftsmanship and creative expression, driving his company by authenticity and pure obsession. Every pattern, seam, and ultimately finished garment is conceived and produced by Tyler himself.

His journey starts back when his grandmother introduced him to sewing as a fun activity when he was sixteen, however, this ‘hobby’ very quickly became the reason he wanted to wake up every morning.

The plaid tag emphasized on every AOA product is a nod to his first ever creation back in 2023 when Tyler modified a pair of overalls and added a plaid pattern to the pocket. Tyler has since changed the plaid pattern into a personal tartan inspired from his family’s heritage and personal design inspiration.

One of Tyler's most recent obsessions has been up-cycling old sneakers (donated By Wayne Elsey with his company Sneakers4Good) into beautiful works of art such as purses, bags, and even shoes made of shoes! Some projects end up requiring 54 individual sneakers to be torn apart and reconstructed into something entirely unrecognizable. The possibilities of a driven mind are endless. There’s never a dull moment within AOA, as Tyler hands never stop moving!
